Mr Fergal Broder
Fergal Broder a Sligo man is CEO of LotusWorks Irl Ltd, a world class provider of automation, solutions serving multinational manufacturing companies across Europe & the USA. LotusWorks is a supplier of instrumentation, automation & engineering expertise. Fergal set up the company in 1989 and now has a workforce of 300, majority technical staff employed in Ireland and both East coast and West coast USA.
Fergal has fostered close relationships with manufacturing and process client companies and knows a great deal about their corporate cultures and needs. This knowledge and experience of a wide range of sectors has enabled the company to continually grow and meet the specific requirements of these companies.
Fergal chairs the North West group of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland. The American Chamber of Commerce is the representative body for U.S. companies based in Ireland at both Government and industry level, and within the Irish and international media. Corporate membership of the American Chamber supports the representation of the business agenda of US companies located in Ireland.
Fergal Broder was one of the finalists in the 2006 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year awards.
Mr. Connor Flanagan
Connor Flanagan has been involved in the Instrumentation & Controls industry in Ireland for over 18 years. Having spent his formative years in both the Dairy & Water industry, Connor joined Lotus Automation in 1996. Starting with a hands-on Engineering role, he then took ownership of the development of the East Coast region for Lotus Automation Ireland in 1998, looking after Business Development. Appointed to the role of General Manager of Lotus Automation Ireland in 2000 he has been involved in all aspects of the business operation including Business Development / Contract negotiation, Client support and HR management. In 2003 Connor became a Shareholder of Lotus Automation and was appointed to the Board of Directors.
Currently Connor is the Managing Director of Lotus Technical Services (LotusTS)
Mr. Tom Cafferkey
Mr. Cafferkey has spent 18 years working in the Instrumentation and Controls arena and is currently serving as enterprise wide Business Development officer with Lotus providing strategic direction to the network of Irish and US based Lotus Companies. Before joining Lotus, he served as Calibration Manager with US Multinational IMED (International Medical Electronic Devices) from 1990 to1995.
In 2000 after a three-year stint seconded to Intel Corporation as an instrumentation and Controls SME he refocused his efforts on business development opening Lotus Automations first US office in Boston Massachusetts and reaching sales of €1M in the first year of operation. Cafferkey became a shareholder in the business in 2003 and increased his shareholding again in 2005.
Mr. Declan Walsh
Declan R Walsh is a qualified chartered accountant and Group Finance Director and Company Secretary at LotusWorks. Declan previously held the position of Head of Finance since joining the company in 2001. During his time with the company, Declan has been responsible for leading and directing the finance team within the company and has established internal controls and software systems enhancing financial and reporting structures for the organisation.
Declan is one of the four members of Strategic Management Committee (SMC). He has been actively involved in the Groups' acquisition strategy and is now responsible for the funding and corporate governance of its strategic growth initiatives. Declan will continue to be responsible for Corporate & Operational finance, Accounting and Financial Operations, Treasury Taxation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Internal Audits and Risk Management for the organisation. He has gained substantial international industry experience having worked previously in the engineering and retail sectors in USA, UK and Russia. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Mr. Steve Ostrowski
Steven Ostrowski is President of the LotusCM, the construction management division of Lotus Works. Mr. Ostrowski has spent has 35+ years in the construction and engineering business with a significant majority of those years spent in the construction of energy and power producing facilities. Included in Mr. Ostrowski's direct experience are nuclear, coal, gas, oil and renewable projects worth more than $2 billion. Mr. Ostrowski's experience also includes service as vice president of JH Kelly and as Western and Mid-Western Regional General Manager of Johnson Yokogawa, a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Yokogawa of America. Mr. Ostrowski holds a BS degree in Business Management and is a licensed Electrical General Administrator in the State of Washington.
Mr. Kevin Menard
Kevin Menard is President of Lotus CS / KM Kelly, the construction services division of LotusWorks. He has 30 years experience in the construction industry in the U.S.A. Mr. Menard has managed several construction projects in the power, advanced technologies, biopharmaceutical and several other industries throughout the North East Region. He has been a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union (IBEW) for the past 30 years and was recently a member of the contractors negotiating committee for the successful agreement on a new contract between IBEW Local 96 Union Members and the NECA Contractors for the next 3 years. Prior to partnering with Lotus in 2004 Mr. Menard was the Operations Manager for the JH Kelly East Coast Office for 3.5 years. Mr. Menard holds a Master Electrician License / Business License for the states of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Mr. James Casey
James Casey started his career with Lotus Automation in 1994 where he spent 6 years working as an I&C Tech on various projects through out Ireland. In 2000 James moved to the US to work for Lotus on Intel Corporations project at Hudson MA. In 2004 James was appointed president and shareholder of Lotus Automation USA. He increased his shareholding in 2006 and recently opened the LotusTS office in Westborough MA.
Mr Casey holds a full technological certification in Controls and Engineering from the City and Guild of London Institute.
Mr. Bob Young
Bob Young is a qualified and experienced Power Engineer. He is the VP of Operations for LotusCM, and provides O&M and construction services to the Energy Sector Industries. Bob Young has competed construction management for projects up $360 million dollars. He has been Plant Manager and General Manager of power plants in the US and has completed power plant start-up activities for several plants. Bob has been responsible for leading and directing the CM and Performance Improvement Services division within the company and has established internal controls and project controls enhancing division and project specific financial and reporting structures for the organization.
Bob Young joined LotusWorks as part of the acquisition of the US based companies - PO&M and PII. Bob will be responsible for management of CM projects to meet corporate profit goals and strategic growth plans. He has gained substantial international industry experience having worked previously in the energy sectors in USA, UK, Middle East and Far East. He is a better golfer than the rest of the company personnel.
Mr. Chuck Leber
Chuck Leber is the Vice President of Technical Services for LotusCM, and has managed and implemented performance improvement and technical services projects for clients across North America and in Asia. Chuck provides guidance for the development of the company's new performance improvement / risk reduction products and for the technical excellence of the company's products and deliverables. He has gained substantial experience having worked previously as an equipment designer for an OEM, consulting engineer, and engineering manager for an industrial construction company. He was also a capital projects manager for and held management positions in the utilities and human relations departments in the production plant of a Fortune 500 company.
Chuck Leber joined LotusGroup USA as part of the acquisition of the US-based companies PII, Inc. and PO&M Inc. Chuck will be responsible for the strategic development and management of performance improvement and technical services projects to meet corporate profit goals and strategic growth plans. Chuck has a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University.
Mr. Manel Da Silva
M da Silva spent 15 years through 2006 working at Intel in a variety of engineering roles. From 2000 to late 2006, M da Silva held the positions of regional engineering manager, respectively for Ireland and East Coast USA, EMEA and APAC. Prior to Intel, M da Silva worked 10 years for Dublin Corporation, having had roles which spanned specialty vehicle, HVAC, water and waste treatment design and O&M. In March 2007, M da Silva joined Lotus Automation. M da Silva is a Mech Eng graduate from ISEP, Portugal and a Master of Eng graduate from UCD, Ireland.
Mr. Peter Coyle
Peter Coyle, from Dublin, is the non- executive Chairman of Lotus Automation Ireland Ltd and chairs the Strategic Management Committee which meets monthly. He is also a director and adviser to a number of other companies. He was previously an Executive Director of the Irish Government's development agency, Enterprise Ireland, where most recently he was responsible for the prestigious 'Scaling' programme designed to help the growth of Ireland's most promising businesses. For many years, Peter Coyle was in charge of the agency's large network of trade development offices in the Americas, Asia and Rest of World outside of Europe and also for the development of the Irish software industry.
